The contemporary Fears watch, hand-built in England, is part of the new Fears Redcliff Collection, named after the Bristol street where the company was founded in 1846. Designed to be an elegant and sophisticated everyday timepiece, the Redcliff 39.5 Date features a 39.5mm round case with integrated lugs, a screw-down case back, bezel, and crown. The slim 9.98mm case combines a brushed middle section with a polished bezel, ensuring a perfect fit on any wrist.
The Raven Black dial, made in Germany, has a sunburst finish and finely-milled grooves on the chapter ring, with bold silver and white printing contrasting the black galvanic-coated dial. A date window at 3 o'clock features a colour-matched date disc with bespoke ‘Edwin’ numerals. The diamond-polished, rhodium-coated baton indexes, filled with X1-Grade Super-LumiNova, reference the Clifton Suspension Bridge at 12 o'clock.
The distinctive ‘Fears’-shaped hands are tri-bevelled and rhodium-coated, catching the light during the day and glowing blue at night with X1-Grade lume. The watch is powered by a customised Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement, with a 68-hour power reserve.
The Redcliff 39.5 Date comes with a bespoke 3-link stainless steel bracelet and a 3D-woven textile strap. The adjustable bracelet ensures a perfect fit, while the additional textile strap offers versatility. Each watch is individually numbered, engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock.
